About Cassian

With 8 years of professional teaching experience, I am an enthusiastic Saxophone tutor who has successfully trained around 150 students across all learning levels. I focus on helping students become both technically strong and musically expressive.

My tutoring approach emphasises balance. I work on technical skills such as tone control, articulation, finger movement, and rhythm while also focusing on musical expression and interpretation. I believe both are equally important for becoming a good saxophone player.

Lessons include warm-ups, scales, technique exercises, song learning, listening activities, and basic improvisation. I teach students how to listen carefully to their own sound and make improvements independently.

My unique quality is my ability to balance discipline with creativity. I guide students carefully while allowing them to express their musical ideas. My aim is to help students play with accuracy, confidence, and expression.

About the lesson

My saxophone teaching methodology combines adaptability, positivity, and student collaboration. I recognise that every learner is unique, and I tailor lessons to their pace, learning style, and musical goals using demonstration, auditory exercises, and practical practice.

Flexibility is central to my approach. Lessons are modified according to progress, motivation, and individual goals, keeping sessions engaging, productive, and inspiring. Collaboration allows students to participate in selecting pieces, improvising, and actively contributing to their learning journey, building both creativity and confidence.

In addition to saxophone, I teach complementary subjects such as sight-reading, ear training, ensemble performance, and music theory. My goal is to nurture confident, expressive musicians who are passionate about music.
