About Alice
* Please ignore my response time, I unfortunately took time out from tutoring at the start of the pandemic but have returned*
I a recent PhD graduate (September 2019) at Imperial College London. Obtained this position straight from BSc (Hons) level (1st class Biomedical Science). I have been accredited with 4 awards including the IBMS presidents prize. I’ve been involved in tutoring all through my BSc level to PhD. I currently give lectures to 4th year medical students as a graduate teaching assistant. Lastly, in 2014, I was 2nd in Adzuna graduate of the year UK. Teaching is a passion of mine and I long to be a lecturer in the field of Biology in the near future.

Interactive teaching. It means that the lessons are not memorised but embedded into the student’s mind. Interactive teaching causes students to pay attention to detail and are also involved in the process of unfolding key learning steps. Since GCSE I’ve found flaws in teaching methods. My learning came from extracurricular activities which I designed myself since my lessons were not fulfilling. These experiences have caused me to design lesson programmes that involve student interactions in hope of challenging their critical thinking and helping to acquire a wealth of knowledge from all perspectives.
