About Adv Harsha Binth

I am a practicing advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Kerala, currently pursuing my LLM in International Trade Law at the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi. Alongside my academic work, I actively appear before trial courts and the High Court of Kerala, which allows me to connect legal theory with how the law is actually applied.

My professional experience includes legal research, drafting, and case analysis, as well as long-term engagement with legal writing and academic publications. I am associated with international arbitration bodies such as the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration (YICCA), and I have received specialized training in domestic and international arbitration through programs conducted by leading law universities and law firms.

As a teacher, I value clarity, structure, and honesty. I do not believe in shortcuts or superficial learning. My classes are carefully planned, concept-driven, and supported by statutes, case law, and practical examples. I encourage questions, critical thinking, and discussion, while maintaining a disciplined and respectful learning environment.

About the lesson

My approach is concept-first, application-driven. Each topic is grounded in statutory text, followed by judicial interpretation and real case application. I use:

Statute-based teaching to build doctrinal clarity

Case-law analysis to show how principles operate in practice

Problem-based learning using hypotheticals, past exam questions, and moot-style issues

Comparative references (where relevant) to international frameworks such as WTO law and international arbitration

Structured legal writing exercises to strengthen analytical and drafting skills

The focus is on thinking like a lawyer, not rote memorisation.
