About Ani
I am a junior at Oberlin College and Conservatory studying psychology and arts management with minors in statistics, linguistics, and studio art. I have a variety of tutoring experience with all ages and subjects. Since high school, I have worked one-on-one, assisting students with math, history, English, and science as well as executive functioning skills. I have also worked with students with autism doing arts and crafts and grammar, both in group settings and one-on-one. I also have experience working with individuals aged 2-90 from my time interning at a Speech and Language Pathology private practice that treats all ages and disorders. I got to observe and assist sessions, strengthening my ability to connect, communicate, and educate many different types of humans. My childcare experience has been enhanced through my work as an art teacher for grades K-8, monitoring 30+ kids at a time.

My main priority as a tutor is getting to know the student and their learning techniques to know how to best assist them. I begin every session with a check-in to see what they need from me and end by asking what worked and what didn't work. This way, the getting-to-know-you process is a continuous and open conversation. As a Psychology student, I am interested in the multitude of ways people think, learn, and act. Through this passion, I have gained experience working with and getting to know individuals aged 2-90 in tutoring and speech therapy sessions.
