About Ralph Anthony
I am Malia Love—an internationally acclaimed vocalist, songwriter, educator, and mentor. Music is not just something I do—it’s who I am. It’s how I survived, how I healed, and how I rise. I teach because I believe in the power of transformation. I know what it’s like to feel unheard, unseen, and underestimated—and I also know what it means to overcome. Every note I sing, every student I guide, is rooted in that truth. Alongside Ralph Anthony Beckles, I’ve created a safe, vibrant, and professional space where students can grow into their gifts. Whether it’s a child tapping into rhythm for the first time, or an adult reclaiming their voice—we meet you where you are and help you discover the magic within. I do this because music saved my life. Because I was once that young dreamer who just needed someone to believe. And now, I am that someone. About Our Music Teaching Approach At the heart of our music instruction is a belief in nurturing each student’s unique rhythm, voice, and potential. Together with Ralph Anthony Beckles—an accomplished musician and educator—we offer engaging and skill-building lessons in vocals, drums, piano, and early childhood music education. Our Teaching Style: We take a personalised, hands-on approach that blends classical technique with modern methods. Whether working on pitch, timing, rhythm, or performance, we focus on building strong musical foundations while keeping lessons fun, expressive, and confidence-boosting. For younger learners, we use storytelling, rhythm games, and interactive songs to make learning joyful and developmentally appropriate. Lesson Structure: Each session typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes, depending on age and level. We ensure lessons are engaging, structured, and tailored to individual goals—whether it’s mastering an instrument, preparing for performances, or exploring music for the first time. Experience & Qualifications: With over 20 years of combined experience as performing artists, educators, and music directors, Ralph Anthony Beckles and I bring real-world insight and a deep love for teaching. Our background spans jazz, soul, reggae, classical, and contemporary music, and we’ve mentored students from early childhood to professional levels. Who We Teach: Our lessons are open to children, teens, and adults—from beginners to intermediate learners. Whether you’re just discovering music or looking to refine your craft, we’ll meet you where you are and help you grow.
