About Cari

High school students often find that standard prep methods fail to address their specific gaps in logic. Spending 8 years in this role has shown me that the math section is less about raw talent and more about recognizing patterns. I hold a BA Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University which shapes how I break down complex problems.

My approach focuses on teaching the core concept first before moving to drills. Once the foundation is solid, I lock the knowledge in with targeted practice exercises.

These 8 years of instruction have helped me identify where most test takers get stuck. I handle each session based on the individual sitting in front of me.

This allows for a clear and methodical pace during our work together. You can expect a consistent focus on clarity rather than just racing through a textbook. I keep the process simple to ensure you grasp the material. Methodical coaching leads to better understanding.

About the lesson

Word problems often look like a jumble of meaningless text until you learn to strip away the noise. I teach you to highlight the relevant data while ignoring the distracting fluff that distracts from the Heart of Algebra.

Practice tests become much less daunting when you have a clear strategy for the calculator and no-calculator sections. Students benefit from weekly practice sets that include my own worked solutions to bridge any gaps.

My 8 years of experience allows me to pinpoint exactly why you missed a question. You will develop a repeatable approach for Problem Solving and Data Analysis tasks.

Answer-choice strategy is just as vital as the math itself. I help you spot the traps buried within the test design. Success arrives when your preparation meets a reliable system.
