About Charlie
I am a freelance trumpet player in the New Jersey/Philadelphia area. I have a B.F.A from Rutgers where I studied both jazz and classical music extensively. In high school I was a member of the All-South Jersey and All-State bands, orchestras and jazz ensembles.

As a teacher I am willing to teach students who want to begin trumpet or further develop their skills for playing in school bands of all kinds and levels. I am experienced in and can help prepare students for auditions of all types.
I believe that music should always provide joy and stress relief and I emphasize the importance of playing songs and beautiful music in addition to fundamental exercises.
I am also interested in teaching students of any age specific songs they enjoy or horn lines from their favorite rock/pop songs if their interest is more for personal enjoyment as opposed to study. Very adaptable to meet the needs of each individual student.
