About Jordana
I came from an area where there was never enough funding and not enough educators to make sure all students were caught up and understood what was being taught to them in school. With this, I started to believe I wasn't "good" at school- I was doing the same thing as everyone else, but yet still falling behind. But, once I took ahold of my learning and started learning to be accountable I came up with strategies to help myself and others realize we're not "bad" at school- we just learn things differently! This realization turned into me making deans list all four years of college, and helped others around me as well. After graduating, I began teaching at a local middle school, where I truly learned my love of teaching. With this, I was able to refine my skills as a teacher, and implement new ways of learning directly in the classroom.

I work with students after school to best implement a learning objective and progress path! The way I do this is by the student exhibiting to me their strongest to weakest subjects. I also am a big believer in that every person has a varied learning style. This, is quite important due to the fact we do not all absorb and store information the same! With these two things in mind I make a individualized learning plan to best help the student excel in the areas they need. I have experience working with students from kindergarten-eighth grade.
