About Holly
I hold a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in "writing-heavy" fields: I've written a LOT of papers, myself. Now, along with working in a field which requires daily clinical documentation, I teach college classes, and have tutored college and high school students since I was in graduate school in 2019. While I am not bilingual, I have worked with many students whose first language is something other than English. I try my best to be respectful, encouraging, and give explanations that help each individual understand and remember concepts.
Excellent writing is a skill which affects and impacts much more than your grades! How people think of YOU: your intelligence, your people skills, etc., is impacted by how you come across on the page.

I am passionate about excellent writing! I hold a Master's degree, and I have 7 years' experience teaching at the university level.
I enjoy working with students on grammar, spelling, proofreading, citations of any kind and clarity of content.
I work with middle school, high school and college students, and can meet for 30 minutes or 60 minutes at time. We can meet virtually (online), or in a public space (e.g., the library or a coffee shop).
For our lessons, you will bring a writing assignment from school and we will workshop it together, answering your questions and refining your skills along the way.
