About Elena
I consider myself an effective and approachable teacher. I don’t want students to regurgitate information, I want them to find ways to learn it and, more importantly, use it. I have helped students overcome communication anxiety and presentation concerns. I want to see my students succeed. I pride myself on availability as well.

Obviously, my approach would depend on the content needed. Test preparation would focus on strategies to retain information and needed explanation. Presentation preparation would offer students the opportunity to practice their presentation with someone who has been teaching communication skills for over 25 years. I can also assist with assessing presentation content. I have taught mostly at the college level but have worked with high school students, ESL presenters, and professionals on their presentation skills.
