About Abigail

Hello! My name is Abby, and I am a college student with over four years of tutoring experience. Throughout the years I have worked with students of different ages, learning styles, and academic backgrounds, helping them build confidence and improve their performance in mathematics.

Math has always been one of my strongest subjects. I earned a 34 on the ACT Math section (99th percentile), a 730 on SAT Math, and a 5 on the AP Calculus AB Exam and 4 on the AP Physics 1 Exam. Beyond my own academic achievements, I have helped numerous students improve their grades, prepare for exams, and successfully pass their math courses.

I believe every student can succeed in math with the right support and approach. My goal is to create a patient, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing problem-solving skills, and reaching their academic goals.

About the lesson

I use interactive, personalized lessons to help students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of mathematics. Rather than simply teaching students how to solve a specific problem, I focus on helping them understand the concepts and problem-solving strategies behind the material so they can apply those skills independently.

With over four years of tutoring experience, I have helped students improve their grades, prepare for exams, and successfully pass challenging math courses. I tailor each lesson to the student's learning style, whether that means working through practice problems, reviewing class assignments, or breaking down difficult concepts step-by-step.

My academic background includes a score of 34 on ACT Math (99th percentile), a 730 SAT Math score, a 5 on the AP Calculus AB Exam and AP Precalculus Exam, and coursework in AP Statistics. I tutor students from elementary mathematics through AP Calculus AB and am committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing their mathematical skills.

Not only does she allow you to go at your own pace and is able to understand your struggles, she can explain things in a well structured way which can help bring everything together.
