About Rohan
I am currently a student in the TCNJ 7-Year Medicine Program, on track to become a doctor in the future. My interest in teaching began in 8th grade, when I spent time working with the Extended School Year Program, helping middle school students with mental disabilities keep up with the standard curriculum. Throughout high school, I tutored many students individually in mathematics and English, but also created multiple study programs which enhanced collaboration and group study between students in grades K-8. Later in high school, I created a nonprofit organization, Coaching To Contribute, through which I tutored groups of students alongside other teachers, using the profits to ship traditional Indian clothing donations to impoverished communities in India.

Through my experiences, I have developed a love for passing down knowledge that I have gained to other students and helping them find their own way of understanding information. I believe the best way of teaching students is to provide hints and clues, but allow them to understand the subject matter in their own way. This allows them to learn more efficiently and more thoroughly. I have taught mathematics at various levels for over 6 years, and my students have seen a measurable impact on their grade and understanding of the material.
