About Bilal

I am known as someone very approachable.I believe that patience and positive reinforcement should be the only tools needed to teach someone. If the student makes a mistake, it is because their teacher approached the subject the wrong way, and I believe that tutoring is as much about helping the student as it is about me finding a way to connect ideas and piece them of knowledge in a way that suits them and helps them to develop their own thinking processes.

About the lesson

I have studied these subjects again and again and believe that it’s the connection between ideas that make a student excel. A typical lesson plan would start with a few minutes of discussion where I explain roughly what the topic is, but also whatwhat other topics it connects to and its more final applications. I have found this helps students be more motivated and it keeps them engaged to know why they are learning what they are. Thenit continues with a few exercises to help them discover the subject and kind of “discover” how to approach it their own ways. I would then alternate between exercises, correction of said exercises and me helping them through their mistakes and how they can improve. It would then end with me giving them a few more concrete exercises with real life applications that will help the student not only learn the topic but truly make it their own.
