About Aderinola

Hi! My name is Aderinola, and I’m a college student on the pre-med track, with a strong academic background in chemistry, math, and physics. I’m currently pursuing a science-intensive course load as I prepare for medical school, and I work as both a research assistant and a peer mentor. My experiences have taught me how to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and with confidence. As someone who has recently taken (and succeeded in) the same high school and college-level courses you're working through, I know what teachers expect—and how to help you meet those expectations. My goal is to make challenging subjects feel manageable, even enjoyable. I bring patience, professionalism, and structure to every session, and I’m deeply invested in helping students not just improve their grades but also build confidence in their abilities. If you’re looking for a tutor who’s passionate about science, understands the pre-health journey, and is committed to your growth, I’d love to work with you!

About the lesson

Teaching Method & Techniques
- Concept First: I focus on building a solid understanding of core ideas before moving to practice. Whether it’s balancing chemical equations or understanding Newton’s laws, we always start with the why.
- Interactive Learning: I ask guiding questions and encourage students to explain their thought process. This helps reinforce understanding and boosts problem-solving confidence.
- Customized Help: I tailor sessions to the student’s goals—whether that’s catching up, getting ahead, or acing an exam.

A Typical Lesson Plan
-- Quick Recap (5–10 min)
Review last session or current school content. Identify areas of confusion.
-- Core Concept Focus (15–20 min)
Explain and break down the topic using visuals, analogies, and step-by-step reasoning.
-- Practice Problems (20–25 min)
Work through example problems together. Then, the student tries independently with my support.
-- Wrap-Up & Q&A (5–10 min)
Summarize key takeaways, flag next steps, and answer final questions.

What Sets Me Apart
--- Student Perspective: I’ve recently taken the same courses and exams, so I know what teachers look for and what trips students up.
--- Flexible & Relatable: I understand what it’s like to juggle multiple classes. I meet students where they are, academically and emotionally.
--- Empathy & Encouragement: I don’t just help with homework, I help rebuild confidence. You won’t just learn formulas; you’ll learn how to think like a scientist or problem-solver.
