About Niamh

Hi!! My name is Niamh, and I’m a college student in Ireland, studying Social Science!! I’ve been playing piano for 15 years, as long as I can remember - music is a huge part of who I am!! I have achieved a Grade 6 in the RIAM Piano Grades as of 2025. I have also taught piano to children aged 5-11 in summer camps over the last five years in my local music club!!

I’m also a practitioner in child participation and climate justice, which means that I help children all over the world to have their ideas and opinions reflected in both national and international climate policy!! Lots of my work is with organizations and universities, such as the Institute for Inspiring Children’s Futures, and some United Nations consultancy work.

I love walks on the beach, as well as in forests and public gardens!! I’m an absolute sucker for puppies, and I also love reading and creative writing, as well as getting to know new people!!

About the lesson

I have studied music and piano for over 15 years, and achieved a grade of a H2 (>80%) in my Leaving Certificate Exam (both performance and music theory) in 2025. I absolutely adore music, I think it’s the best way to relax and unwind, and it really helps to bridge gaps in communication, and help us to channel our emotion. I’m open to teaching students of all levels - whether you just want to brush up on what you already know, or this is your very first time studying piano, I’d love to be your tutor!! I’m extremely proficient in both performance, and music theory. My approach will incorporate whatever you feel will work best for you - this is your journey, and I want to give you the personalised tutoring that you feel you need.
