About Logan

I am an experienced saxophone tutor with more than 8 years of teaching college students. My goal is to make saxophone learning simple, structured, and enjoyable. I believe students learn best when lessons are clear, interactive, and connected to real music.

My teaching focuses on developing strong basics such as tone control, breath support, finger technique, rhythm, and timing. I also encourage creativity through improvisation and musical interpretation so students can express themselves freely. I use real-world examples from different music styles to make lessons interesting and practical.

To improve learning results, I use innovative tools like recording feedback, guided practice routines, and play-along sessions. I also teach music theory, ear training, and reading skills to help students understand music more deeply.

I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace. My aim is to help students enjoy learning saxophone while becoming confident and skilled musicians.

About the lesson

My Saxophone teaching style is based on understanding, creativity, and consistent practice. I aim to help students develop both technical skills and musical awareness. Lessons begin with essential techniques such as breath control, embouchure stability, finger coordination, articulation, tone balance, and reading music.

Creativity is included by allowing students to experiment with sound, learn familiar tunes, and try guided improvisation. I act as a mentor by encouraging students, guiding them through challenges, and helping them stay focused on their goals. I believe mentorship helps students grow with confidence and motivation.

Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how to identify problems in their playing and apply correct solutions. Accountability is encouraged through regular feedback, practice schedules, and progress assessments. Along with Saxophone lessons, I also teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Rhythm Training, and Ear Development to support complete musical growth.
