About Sara
Having lived overseas in an international school, I was surrounded by peers who were only beginning to navigate the English language. I was always drawn to helping them as it was difficult to progress in class without proper reading comprehension and writing skills. This was especially apparent in my favourite class, English language & literature, and this was therefore where this habit manifested for me. I wish for students to be able to get the most out of their Education, and I realise that especially in a country like the UK, it can be difficult when you don’t speak the language used to teach. This is why I am so passionate about helping others overcome this obstacle!

I typically hold hour-long sessions in which we focus on different skills at a time (writing, reading, etc. while introducing new grammar rules). All of my students are foreign-language learners who live overseas as I used to live in Xiamen, China attending an international school. The students have always ranged from 10-16 y/o; however, I am open to students of any age eager to learn English! Classes are generally very flexible and can be easily adjusted according to the student’s progress. Classes entail reading articles and other forms of texts, followed by questions and related writing assignments for practice. Some classes may also be strictly based on the student’s school assignments, which I help work through and complete. My favourite subject was always English literature which is why I am so passionate about bringing in new learners! My sessions are held online over a programme called VooV but can also adjust to other programmes if suggested.
