About Wei

I am Joseph, a dedicated STEM specialist with over 15 years of international teaching experience in Mathematics and Computer Science. I specialise in guiding students through A-Level, IB (HL/SL), and AP curricula.

Over the past decade, I have taught over 500 students, helping many secure admissions into prestigious universities worldwide, including Oxford, Cambridge, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), UIUC, and Imperial College. More than 78% of my curriculum students consistently achieve top-tier grades (IB Level 7, AP 5, or A-Level A*/A). Additionally, my students have achieved remarkable success in algorithmic logic and competitive programming.

What drives me most is the fulfilment of seeing students grow—watching them overcome academic hurdles, gain confidence, and achieve breakthroughs under my guidance.

My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student's unique learning goals—whether you need to rebuild core foundational logic or aim for an A* / IB Level 7.

How I Deliver Results:

Pattern Recognition & "Top-Down" Clarity: Instead of overwhelming students with endless formulas, I teach a top-down, pattern-based approach. By categorising intimidating mathematical and algorithmic concepts into clear, decision-tree frameworks (e.g., mastering the finite templates of Differential Equations or Calculus), students learn to identify problem types instantly and execute step-by-step solutions with absolute precision.

Demystifying the Complex: I specialize in taking highly abstract, intimidating topics across Mathematics (Calculus, Mechanics, Statistics) and Computer Science (Java/Python, OOP, Data Structures) and breaking them down into intuitive, manageable, and easy-to-understand modules.

Rigorous & Systematic Curriculum: Every session follows a rigorous, algorithmic syllabus designed to leave zero knowledge gaps. We build strong, logical connections between core theory and exam application, ensuring a solid, scalable academic foundation that works seamlessly under exam pressure.

Dual-Track Support:

For students who are struggling: I focus on rebuilding confidence, eliminating confusion, and strengthening fundamental logic.

For top performers: I provide advanced problem-solving strategies, marking scheme insights, and high-level analytical frameworks to secure top predicted grades.

Comprehensive Exam & Coursework Support: Structured, expert guidance for A-Level / IB / AP Maths, IB Computer Science Internal Assessments (IA), and targeted past-paper training to master marking-scheme precision.

Interactive & Supportive Atmosphere: I maintain an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, dismantling learning hurdles, and mastering difficult material with confidence.
