• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  When I completed my masters then I started working as an Assistant Professor at one of the renowned universities. When I started my journey as a teacher there, I found that research is very important for professors to grow in their careers. Then, I started looking for the recent technologies in demand. I studied Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Python Language to understand basic technology. I researched and was able to contact the Professor in the field of "Fake content detection". That is where I started my journey and developed my interest.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My motivation is every teacher of mine who has ever taught me. I look up to all my teachers who directed me to the right path, corrected me when I was wavering from that path, and made me capable enough to stand on my feet and shoulder the responsibility of teaching others.

• How does your work help society?

  Someone has rightly said, "Teachers affect eternity, no one knows where their influence stops", Similarly is the case with faculty. What the teacher achieves in a school is what the faculty tries to mold in a university. Through my tutelage, I try to influence the critical and analytical thinking of my students through day-to-day examples in order to bring out a more logical conclusion which helps in the development of solutions that are society centric, en masse, and make lives easier for others. Thus, in my students, I try to inculcate the habit of giving back to society.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  My role model is Savitribhai Phule, the educationist, who, in times of great atrocities and unequal society, had the courage to start a school in 1858 and enrolled girl students of the lower castes. Her contribution to society is testimony to the fact that the lack of learning is nothing but gross bestiality and that it is only through imparting of knowledge that we can help someone give up his lower status (lack of education) and help them achieve the higher one (worldly wisdom). I feel that her selfless act of providing education to those bereaved of education is what must be emulated and I try to inculcate in my students the act of giving back to society.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Apart from my daily routine, I am a dance enthusiast with Bhangra being my favorite. I also like to train my body in the gym and follow a strict yoga regimen for my peace of mind. Occasionally I do catch up with some movies and TV shows.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  For people may come and people may go but the brook of education shall flow forever.
