About Zacharia

Hi there!
I'm Zac, and I have 10 years of experience coding with Python. I am a recent A-level Graduate and have taken Computer Science in both GCSE and A-level, so I am familiar with the necessary skills needed to excel in school.

In high school I got into teaching when a few of my friends struggled with understanding Python, this then expanded over the years until I was appointed Headboy and mentored younger students, helping them with their Python projects.

Over the years I tutored many kids, helping them improve their knowledge of the Python syntax as well as their problem-solving abilities, often helping them with their A-level Coursework.

I have developed many projects such as:
Tic-Tac_toe
Sudoku
Chess
Hash functions
and many more

I aim to make sure you see results after every lesson while having lots of fun learning!

About the lesson

Each lesson will typically be 1-2 hrs, but times are flexible! They will consist of noticeable improvements ranging from understanding the language syntax to developing problem-solving skills.

Creating games is a great way to learn! I put this into practice by challenging my students to create games that are focused on their own skill set, for instance, a basic text adventure game for beginners, leading up to Tic-Tac-Toe and Sudoku where I get intermediate students to learn more about AI, and finally with advanced students, we will delve into harder games such as Chess.

Beginner:
I will teach the basic syntax and help you write simple algorithms such as displaying the Fibonacci sequence. At the end of the Beginner stage, you will be able to create your own text adventure game.

intermediate:
I will teach you more complex in-built functions, as well as explore external libraries. I will teach you how to read and write files and create more complex algorithms using slightly harder techniques such as recursive algorithms.

Advanced:
I will delve into "Good programming procedures" to make your programming more efficient, professional and more applicable to A-level requirements. these include Object- Orientated- Programming, and other advanced methods. Here we will also look into pygame, where we can make awesome games together with a GUI!

Lessons are for anyone wanting to learn Python either as a beginner or to just improve on their existing skills.
