About Maksim

Regardless of where you are coming from, my aim as your tutor is to make learning understandable, interesting, and purposeful. I try to explain problems and solutions by simplifying difficult concepts into manageable steps to help students grasp math. Using a method that builds confidence from the ground up, I will guide you toward full understanding by drawing on both elementary-level thinking and high school-level reasoning. I can teach bilingually and explain explanations for students who prefer to learn in one language or who think in two languages because I provide support in both Russian and English. What truly sets me apart, however, is the personal connection I form with my students. I make the effort to discover not just how they learn, but who they are. My students sense that I am invested in their success and have confidence in their potential. That trust and encouragement makes a real difference, not just in grades, but in attitude and motivation.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is based on using a combination of elementary and high school logic to simplify complex ideas into engaging problems and solutions. I think a solid understanding of higher-level content is developed the mastery of the fundamentals.

To make lessons engaging, I use interactive problem-solving, real-world applications, and visual aids. Along with encouraging students to express their ideas out loud, I also make sure to pose questions. This enables me to evaluate their comprehension and increases their self-assurance in their ability to explain mathematics on their own.

My ability to explain mathematical problems in both Russian and English sets me apart and helps bilingual students feel more comfortable and heard. For students who think differently based on their culture or educational background, I use both languages as a means of explaining and reinforcing what they have learned.

Additionally, I try to connect with students on a personal level. I show how important it had been for me to be seen and heard by my own teachers. I enable students to be open about our meetings and interested in the learning process by being polite and understanding of their individual interests and challenges.
