About Cindy

As a tutor, I have experience helping my younger siblings with their homework. In the classroom, I always find myself collaborating with my peers to understand the topics which we are learning. In situations where I notice that my peers are struggling to understand concepts, I tend to take on a tutoring role where I try to understand what it is they need help with. And with that, I find ways to help them learn better. I am patient, kind, and non-judgmental in doing this. If you are to pick me as your tutor, you can expect the same from me!

About the lesson

Hello! I am thrilled to offer my tutoring services in computer science. I am currently a senior at the University of California, Santa Barbara, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in my passion for technology and education which began in high school when I took AP Computer Science A, and AP Computer Science Principles.

During my time at UCSB, I have immersed myself in a rigorous curriculum that has equipped me with a solid understanding of various computer science disciplines. I’ve tackled courses in data structures, algorithms, web development, and computer organization, to name a few. Alongside my coursework, I’ve engaged in several projects that have allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios. My proficiency spans several programming languages, including Java, Python, and C++, ensuring I can support a wide range of student needs.

Whether you are just starting with programming or looking to strengthen your understanding of advanced topics, I’m here to help you achieve your goals. I understand that learning computer science can be challenging, and I am here to offer patience, encouragement, and support as you navigate through your studies. My goal is to pursue a Master’s in Education after graduation, so I am dedicated to developing effective teaching strategies and helping students succeed.
