Hello future artists! I'm Samira, a third-year Concept Art graduate from the Academy of Digital Arts. With experience interning at Chocolate Tribe, one of South Africa's leading animation and VFX companies, I have a solid understanding of what the industry seeks in concept art professionals. My skill set covers the essential fundamentals every artist should master, including value, perspective, form, line, shape, composition, texture, balance, and proportion. Additionally, I specialize in creating expressive environments and characters. Whether you're working with Photoshop, Krita, Procreate, or any other digital drawing program, I’m here to guide you through the intricacies of digital art. I understand that learning new software can be overwhelming, but I am here to simplify the process for you. We'll work together on projects that match your interests, ensuring that you develop your skills in a fun and engaging way. The answer- Concept Art! Concept art is digital art that acts as a blueprint for the director to work with. A game company needs an idea for a new character- the concept artist will draw and design it! All you need is a willingness to learn about the basic fundamentals of art, and an interest in creating!
I will teach you all there is to know about the basic fundamentals of digital art, tips and tricks that will elevate your art to the next level.
I will first assess where you are in your art journey, both with photoshop skills and art in general. Then we go step by step through the basics, giving you simple but fun exercises to improve your skills. My lessons are aimed at those wanting to learn more about photoshop, digital art, or art in general.
