About Dr Sarah
I’m a PhD-qualified engineer, researcher, and STEM mentor with over seven years of experience in mathematics, statistics, physics, and science education. My academic journey spans a doctorate in Transportation Planning and Road Safety from QUT, a Master’s in Transportation Engineering, and an ongoing MBA in Financial Management—each reinforcing my analytical depth and commitment to lifelong learning. As a tutor, I combine technical expertise with a passion for teaching. I’ve worked with students across age groups, from schoolchildren to university scholars, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and conceptual clarity. My lessons are designed not just to improve grades, but to foster genuine understanding and critical thinking—skills that last far beyond the classroom. I bring a structured, patient, and engaging approach to every session, drawing on real-world examples from engineering and data science to make abstract concepts relatable. Whether you're preparing for exams, tackling challenging assignments, or simply aiming to strengthen your foundations in STEM, I’m here to support your journey with professionalism, empathy, and precision. I offer both online and in-person lessons, tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. With a strong track record in mentoring and academic coaching, I’m committed to helping you succeed—not just academically, but as a confident, independent thinker.

My tutoring approach is centred on conceptual clarity, curiosity-driven learning, and long-term academic excellence. I believe students thrive when they understand the “why” behind the formulas—not just memorise them for exams. I use a blend of visual explanations, real-world applications, and scaffolded problem-solving to help learners build confidence and critical thinking in mathematics, statistics, physics, and general science.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, goals, and learning style. I often begin with a diagnostic discussion to identify gaps or strengths, then guide students through structured, interactive sessions that reinforce core concepts and challenge them to think independently. I incorporate examples from engineering, transport modelling, and data analytics to make abstract ideas more relatable and engaging.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, with options for extended sessions depending on the student’s needs. I offer both online and in-person tutoring, using digital tools to ensure clarity, collaboration, and continuity—especially for remote learners.
I hold a PhD in Transportation Planning and Road Safety from QUT, a Master’s in Transportation Engineering, and am currently pursuing an MBA in Financial Management. With over seven years of experience in technical consulting, research, and mentoring, I’ve worked with students across age groups—from schoolchildren to university scholars—helping them not only improve grades but develop a genuine love for STEM.
My lessons are ideal for high school and university students seeking support in maths, physics, statistics, or science subjects, whether for exam preparation, assignment help, or deeper conceptual understanding.
