About Yağmur
Hi, I’m Yağmur! I’m a classically trained pianist and performing artist currently studying for my Artist Diploma at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I started playing the piano when I was four, and piano has been the centre of my life ever since. I’ve completed my Bachelor’s degree at Mimar Sinan State Conservatoire in Istanbul, my hometown, where I built a strong foundation in piano technique and musical expression. Later, I moved to the Netherlands to complete my Master’s at ArtEZ Conservatoire, where I had the chance to develop and refine my performing skills. After finishing my studies there, my musical journey brought me here to Glasgow, where I continue my learning as a performing artist and musician. I have been working with students over the past nine years from various ages between 7 and 40, whether they were taking their first musical steps, wanted to pursue music professionally or wanted to play for their own enjoyment. My experience has taught me that every student learns differently. I always strive to create a supportive and engaging environment for them to achieve their unique needs, and the goals we set for improvement.
