About the lesson

Based on my personal experience, gained in almost ten years of teaching, I am convinced that a single teaching method does not exist. In fact, it is the individual student (whether young or older) with her/his own peculiarities that makes me incline to adopt a particular approach to her/his pianistic intentionality. What I particularly care about as a teacher is that the lessons develop in the spirit of dialogue between teacher and student and mutual seriousness constitutes the basis of the relationship with the student but also the starting point to consider the piano lesson as a moment of intelligent leisure, full of fun (particularly in the case of the little ones).
I have not any particular predilections and everyone is free to attend my lessons. In the direct approach to the instrument it is necessary to provide guidelines which allow the student to feel safe in facing the difficulties imposed by piano literature. In this sense, I try to convey what I was taught during my studying years and this corresponds to the approach that naturally distinguishes my pianism.
My teaching method is based primarily on making the student aware of the sensation of the arm's weight which, combined with the assimilation of the technique of flexing the finger on the key, ultimately leads to the understanding of the way in which you can generate and control the sound on the piano. This takes place in the maximum economy of movements, aimed at obtaining the best possible result in interacting with the instrument. This is reinforced by theoretical notions and modulated case by case, in relation to the musical characteristics of the specific student.
