About Hadley
I am currently a student at Oakland University, where I am minoring in Jazz Piano and am currently a part of the Oakland University Jazz singers. Prior to moving to Auburn Hills, I taught piano lessons for about a year in a studio in Lapeer. I've performed gigs, accompanied choirs and orchestras, and write music.

My teaching method is based on the student's natural abilities, which I am able to evaluate quickly. Some students learn better by ear, in which case I would start by teaching them chords and playing by ear, or they learn better by (learning to) reading music. When I first started taking lessons about 12 years ago, I started by learning to read music, but over the years, I found that some students learn better by learning chords and take a "play by ear" approach. Every student is different and I won't force a method upon a student if it doesn't work for them.
