About Tanja
I'm an enthusiastic music/violin teacher! I have given numerous private lessons to a range of ages and levels; and conducted masterclasses at the Midwest Young Artists programme (ages 13-18 Chicago, USA) and the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School (Boston, USA) as well as educating younger children at the North Davis Elementary School (California, USA)! As the fourth generation of a musical family, I was born in London and began playing the violin when I was three. I attended London's Royal Academy of Music (Junior Department) and went on to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School, Junior Guildhall and Vienna Konservatorium. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music and Violin Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston in 2019. I'm currently pursuing my Master’s degree at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In 2019, I participated as a Fellow at the prestigious La Jolla Music Society Summer Festival (USA) and travelled to Vietnam and Japan with Midori Goto’s International Community Engagement Program to teach violin and music at schools, hospitals, nursing homes and orphanages. I have numerous experience worldwide in teaching all levels, ages, as well as those who have physical/learning disabilities.

I highly recommend Tanja for her professionalism and incredible enthusiasm in teaching violin. Not only Tanja demonstrates lots of patience with my 9 year old daughter but also when teaching her Mum which is another challenge !
I am grateful to Tanja for taking us both to the next level in violin .
Tanja is a very sensitive and deliberate teacher. As an excellent player, she is great at addressing all problems, technical and/or musical. Would highly recommend.
I have been colleagues with Tanja for over three years, and would recommend her without hesitation as a violin tutor to anyone. She has very reputable qualifications and excels both in teaching and performing. She is encouraging, kind, and a joy to work with!
