Hi! I am a concert violist and viola teacher. I have taught at the Juilliard Pre-College and the University of Iowa as an Assistant Teacher of viola. I'm an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.

About Varinia
I am a viola player who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and the Juilliard School several years ago. I have extensive performance experience around the world as a chamber musician and solo recitalist. I have been teaching for over 12 years. I have served as a Chamber Music Mentor at the Juilliard School Pre-College, as a viola and Chamber Music Teaching assistant at the University of Iowa teaching undergraduate viola students and I currently hold a viola studio of all levels. As a performer, I have received international recognition as a chamber musician and recitalist, and most recently was awarded (with my chamber group Platform Music) the Royal Philharmonic Society's Enterprise Fund. In 2019 I was named an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM).

My teaching style is based on providing an individualised approach to each student. I develop my student's technical skills with several methods, exercises, and studies. The goal is to help my students be free with the instrument using the breath to relax the body and allow the innate musicality to flow in their repertoire.
