About Benjamin
- I have experience in audition, competition, and performance settings
- I achieved level 8 with honors from the American String Teacher's Association Career Advancement Program
- Back in the US, I was a member of the Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra, the Maryland Classic Youth Ochestra, Maryland All-State Orchestra, and Montgomery County Honors Orchestra
- I placed second in the MSMTA Strings Plus Chamber Music Competition on three seperate Occassions
- I have performed at the National Cathedral, and Strathmore Concert Hall
- When I was teaching privately before university, I helped prepare my student for a youth orchestra audition as well as ASTACAP, both of which were successful

About the lesson

- I am available to teach half hour, 45 minute, or hour long lessons
- I employ a combination of methods to establish the broadest baseline for young musicians. This includes counting and clapping rhythms, basic scales, and solo repetoire. While I broadly structure my teaching around the Suzuki method, I will augment that with additional material that accords with the student's level
- I employ a goal-oriented teaching philosophy based on benchmarks such as auditions, recitals, and competitions
- While I am willing to work with young musicians of any level, I am best suited to take beginner musicians with 2 years of experience or less and establish the technique that will help them as they grow in their musical careers
