About Genevieve
Hello! I am a freelance classical singer based in Birmingham and am passionate about teaching singing to people of all ages and abilities. I began singing as a chorister at York Minster and gained ABRSM grade 8 in classical singing, violin and piano before obtaining an ARSM diploma in classical singing. More recently I have achieved a First Class BMus Honours degree in Vocal and Operatic Studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Now, I split my time between teaching and working as a singer in various projects and performance work. I am very passionate about introducing people of all ages and abilities to music in a patient, understanding and gentle manner. I have worked in schools and am DBS checked.

My focus in all my lessons is to enable you to reach your full potential and to have fun! I will focus on vocal technique to ensure you are singing in the healthiest and safest way possible and also work on confidence building. I will tailor to your needs whether that be for exams, audition, competition or just for fun! I am more than happy to work with any music you may bring to the lessons and am eager to help with any issues you may be having vocally. I believe an understanding and patient environment is paramount.
