His understanding of theory and how it relates to practical application and emotional conveyance makes him an exceptional teacher. I met Taya through University. I started that degree with the impression that he was the greatest songwriter I had ever met, and graduated it with that impression unchanged. He is one of the kindest most genuine people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet and talks about music with such fervour that I can’t help but be wrapped up in his excitement each time he unravels a new piece of his own, or describes a song he loves. Taya is patient, understanding, smart and above all, hilarious. He would make a great teacher for anyone willing to learn how to write impactful songs, perform better on stage, or increase their musical theory knowledge.
