About Meyer Deokwu
I am a solo pianist who graduated from Mannes School of Music, a top conservatory in the US. I have taught since my second year at Mannes, and have also tutored music theory to other Mannes students.
My students have won awards from international piano competitions and have received excellent to perfect scores from NYSSMA and ABRSM.
My lessons are designed to provide students with a well rounded education of not only piano technique, but musicality, theory, and history.

My lessons help students learn not about the notes on the page, but about the musicality of the piece. I tackle any bad habits right away and ensure the student understands how to practice efficiently.
I have many years of accompanying experience as well as solo, and I am able to guide the student through all aspects of classical music.
