About Lucia

I am a passionate flute tutor with 6 years of experience, teaching High School, College, and adult students. Over this time, I have had the privilege of guiding 150-200 students, each with their unique goals and dreams in music. I believe that learning the flute is not just about technique—it is about expressing emotion, building confidence, and enjoying every note along the way.

One of the most rewarding moments in my career was helping a shy student perform confidently at their first recital. Watching their transformation reminded me why I love teaching. My lessons are designed to be flexible, engaging, and tailored to each student’s pace and style.

I combine structured practice with creative exercises to make learning meaningful and fun. Above all, I strive to inspire a lifelong appreciation for music, encouraging every student to reach their full potential.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for flute focuses on making learning meaningful, engaging, and practical. I use real-life examples and case studies to connect musical theory with actual performance, helping students understand and retain knowledge better. I focus on motivation, encouraging students to practise regularly, stay confident, and enjoy the learning process.

I emphasise problem-solving, helping students navigate challenges in techniques, rhythms, or musical expression. I teach with integrity, promoting discipline, honesty, and a strong work ethic. My lessons are flexible, adapting to each student’s strengths, pace, and interests.

While I specialise in flute, I also provide guidance in related music subjects to create a strong foundation. My methodology aims to nurture technical skills, creativity, and confidence, making every lesson productive, enjoyable, and tailored to the student’s goals.
