I present the most relevant works of art and explain how they progress from one style to the next. Students are provided the visual map through art history to understand for example how abstract works do indeed have a rich foundation in works of artists like Michelangelo. This gives students a deeper understanding of history and the confidence to engage with the visual arts in their own lives.
