About Sabrina

As an experienced and passionate artist and educator, I am dedicated to helping students explore their creative potential through the powerful medium of printmaking. Originally from Argentina and now based in Miami, I have a rich cultural background that influences my artistic vision and teaching style. I offer bilingual lessons in both English and Spanish, making my classes accessible to a diverse range of students. My approach combines a strong technical foundation with a deep sense of creative exploration. I focus on traditional printmaking techniques while encouraging students to experiment with unconventional materials like recycled objects, clay, and mixed media to add texture and originality to their work. I believe that art is not just about following rules, but about discovering new ways to express your vision and voice. Whether you’re a beginner eager to learn the basics or an advanced artist looking to refine your craft, my lessons are designed to meet your individual needs. I create a supportive and professional environment where students feel confident to take creative risks and push the boundaries of their artistic practice. My Teaching Method & Techniques Art has the power to transform not only the canvas but also the artist. In my approach to teaching printmaking, I strive to create a space where each student can tap into their own creative energy, explore new ideas, and embrace the process of growth. My lessons combine traditional printmaking techniques with a focus on experimental materials and processes. I strongly believe that art isn’t just about following instructions, but about pushing boundaries, embracing imperfections, and finding beauty in the unexpected. I encourage my students to explore alternative materials such as recycled items or even clay to create textures, marks, and impressions that are unique to their practice. In my eyes, everything has artistic potential – from everyday objects to discarded materials. It’s about being resourceful and finding new ways to express your vision, which often leads to the most innovative and meaningful works of art. A Typical Lesson Plan Introduction and Inspiration: Each class begins with an inspiring discussion, often focusing on the broader emotional and creative aspects of the technique we’re about to explore. I encourage my students to not only think about the technicalities but also the story they want to tell, or the mood they want to evoke through their work. Demonstration with Passion: I demonstrate the technique step-by-step, making sure to show how each action connects to the bigger picture. I use this time to explain not only the "how" but the "why" behind each process. I often share stories or my own experiences working with unconventional materials, like using clay to create textures that can transform an image into something entirely new. My goal is for students to feel inspired to take risks and see what happens when they experiment. Hands-On Exploration: This is where the magic happens! Students work on their projects, exploring techniques with traditional materials or venturing into new territory with recycled items, clay, or other experimental elements. I offer personalized guidance, helping each student unlock their own voice in the work they create. Reflection & Growth: At the end of each lesson, we gather to share our progress and reflect on what we've learned. I believe that reflection is essential to artistic growth. We’ll discuss the successes and challenges of the session, and I'll help students refine their techniques and push their creativity further. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor As an artist originally from Argentina, now living in Miami, I bring a rich blend of cultural influences, life experiences, and a deep appreciation for the beauty in imperfection. I see art as a conversation between the artist and the world, and that means embracing new ideas, new materials, and new ways of creating. My passion for incorporating recycled materials into my practice stems from a belief that art should be sustainable and connected to the world around us. I want my students to feel empowered to think outside the box, use what they have at hand, and create works that are both meaningful and original. My ability to speak both English and Spanish allows me to connect with a diverse range of students, especially in virtual settings, where I can offer instruction and guidance in either language. This gives me the opportunity to make learning accessible and relatable, no matter where you're from. What truly sets me apart is my ability to merge the technical and the creative. I understand that learning art requires both structure and freedom. Whether it's helping you perfect your printmaking skills or guiding you in drawing composition and structure, my goal is to make sure that you feel confident and inspired. Together, we'll focus on both the technique and the emotion behind your art. Who the Lessons Are For My lessons are for anyone who is passionate about learning art and exploring the world of printmaking. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been creating for years, these lessons will meet you where you are and help you build from there. The classes are ideal for: Art students (high school, college, or university level) looking to strengthen their printmaking skills and explore innovative materials. Hobbyists and creative individuals who want to dive deeper into their artistic practice and discover new ways to express themselves. Professional artists wanting to add new techniques to their toolkit or experiment with unconventional materials like clay, recycled items, or alternative textures. Drawing enthusiasts who want to improve their composition, structure, and overall technique in both traditional and experimental art forms. These lessons are open to anyone who’s ready to explore their creativity and learn how to make printmaking a meaningful part of their artistic journey. If you're looking for a hands-on, personal, and experimental approach to art, these lessons are for you.
