About Nicholas

I’m Nicholas Hussey, a creative professional and entrepreneur with years of experience across graphic design, video editing, social media management, brand marketing, and advertising. My journey began as an independent graphic designer, where I honed my craft working with non-profits to create impactful event media and advertising.

Later, I brought my skills to the Canadian Armed Forces, designing instructional videos and mentoring contractors in business practices. These experiences shaped my ability to lead projects and deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines. Now, as the founder of Hussey Multimedia, I help businesses and individuals bring their visions to life through branding, digital media, and strategic marketing solutions.

With a background in media and communications for an insurance and investments company, I’ve developed expertise in creating targeted campaigns and managing online media that drive engagement. My work spans everything from crafting compelling visuals to producing professional video content, ensuring every project is polished and impactful.

Driven by my personal journey of overcoming challenges, I bring a unique perspective to my work. I believe in using creativity to build connections, tell stories, and inspire growth. Whether it’s a brand refresh, a social media strategy, or a standout advertising campaign, I’m here to help you achieve your goals and stand out in a crowded market.

About the lesson

What to Expect: A welcoming, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. One-on-one video sessions via Zoom, complete with live annotations and session recordings. Guidance from an experienced designer who stays current with industry trends and best practices.

What You Will Learn: Have the confidence to create independent designs. Understand the tools and software to create graphics and multiple media from online to print confidently.

Flexible Schedule: I offer a flexible schedule to accommodate tight deadlines and demanding projects. My expertise supports professionals from diverse fields in expanding their audience and streamlining operations.

Additional Support: I provide direct access to my email for quicker communication and assistance when needed.

When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I've always been passionate about digital media from videogames, movies, and graphic design. I was lucky enough to work with some very talented creators In my time as a multi-media specialist, giving me the skills to work on my own for many clients to boost their content quality and reach. working in such a creative field is very liberating.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
Nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients/students achieve their goals and pass their perceived limitations.
