About Noelle

I’m an experienced piano tutor with 2 years of teaching and a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Piano Performance. I enjoy working with students who are passionate about jazz and interested in pursuing advanced studies at conservatories like Berklee or Juilliard.

My lessons focus on building both strong technique and creative freedom. Students learn jazz harmony, voicings, improvisation strategies, and rhythmic phrasing. These elements help them develop a confident and expressive playing style.

We also study jazz repertoire and performance techniques used by great pianists. Improvisation becomes a key part of the learning process. Students learn to shape their own musical ideas.

My goal is to help each student unlock their full musical potential. Lessons are structured, inspiring, and focused on long-term growth. Together we work towards expressive and advanced jazz piano performance.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology explores classical piano as both a technical craft and a form of artistic expression. I guide students through the process of building strong technique while developing a deeper understanding of the music they play. Music becomes more meaningful when students understand its structure and history.

In lessons, we analyse classical repertoire and study musical forms such as sonata form and variations. This helps students understand how composers develop their ideas. Clear structure leads to confident performance.

We also explore historical context, learning about the lives of composers and the musical traditions of their time. This background adds depth to interpretation.

Students learn to shape musical phrases, control dynamics, and communicate emotion through expressive playing. For some learners, piano also becomes a space for reflection and calm focus. I support them in refining performances with sensitivity and care. My goal is to help students grow into thoughtful and expressive pianists. Together we bring classical music to life.
