About Elise
With a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnomusicology (Vocal Traditions) and more than 5 years of teaching experience, I help singers discover the richness of vocal harmony. My passion lies in vocal arrangement—building layers of sound that transform melodies into vibrant musical landscapes.
I teach styles ranging from A Cappella to Pop, Gospel, and R&B. Lessons focus on blending voices, writing counter-melodies, and learning practical arranging techniques.
Students also explore how harmonies can be shaped in studio recordings through multi-tracking and vocal production. Music technology becomes a creative extension of the voice.
Improvisation and composition play an important role in my lessons. I encourage students to experiment and develop their own musical ideas.
My background in music history and ethnomusicology adds depth to the learning process, connecting contemporary styles with vocal traditions from around the world.

My teaching approach focuses on healthy singing and long-term vocal development. I believe a well-trained voice should be able to perform consistently without strain.
We begin by strengthening core techniques such as breathing, tone placement, pitch control, and vocal coordination. Harmony work and vocal arranging are also part of the training.
Singers who perform regularly need endurance. For this reason, we work on exercises that build vocal stamina safely.
Students also learn how to manage vocal fatigue during busy rehearsal or performance schedules.
Pre-performance warm-ups prepare the voice for singing. Post-performance care helps the voice recover afterward.
Ensemble singers also learn the importance of blending and supporting the overall sound.
We also discuss vocal care habits like hydration and rest.
