About Lin

I am a passionate piano tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, working with students from school to college level. My love for music and education has shaped my journey as a teacher.

I strongly believe that every child has hidden talent, and my role is to bring it out with patience and proper guidance. Throughout my career, I have helped students improve their technical skills and build performance confidence. A major milestone for me was seeing my students participate in music competitions and school events with pride. I focus on step-by-step learning, ensuring students understand the basics before moving forward.

I also encourage creativity and self-expression while maintaining discipline. My classes are interactive, motivating, and supportive. I feel proud when students achieve their goals and develop a lifelong love for piano.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching piano focuses on developing technical strength and musical confidence through Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I design personalised lesson plans that balance technique, theory, and performance skills. Motivation is sustained by recognising student achievements and guiding them through difficult pieces with patience.

Communication is interactive and clear, helping students understand rhythm patterns, scale techniques, articulation, chord progressions, and dynamic control. I ensure that students not only play correctly but also understand what they are playing. Integrity guides my dedication to structured lessons, punctuality, and honest feedback.

Creativity is developed through improvisation sessions, playing by ear, exploring harmonies, and experimenting with musical expression. Besides piano, I also teach music theory, rhythm exercises, harmony basics, and keyboard techniques to ensure complete musical education.
