About Timothy
I hold a degree in Jazz performance and has played Jazz, pop/ rock, and various other genres professionally across Canada and Europe.
Teaching for over 15 years, I've reflected on what excited me about the guitar when I began learning, and have built a curriculum that centres what activities were fun and had me coming back to the guitar everyday in the hopes that I might share that same excitement and passion for practice with others.
The aim is to make every aspect of learning the guitar as motivated by fun as possible to get people excited to play. Because we learn guitar best by playing. And I really do mean playing!

Learn to understand music visually on the guitar by getting creative with one musical concept at a time.
Learning music by experiencing one concept at a time leads to an intuitive understanding of music construction. This understanding will allow you to see patterns emerge in the music you love, so that learning your favourite music becomes an additive process building from one song to the next allowing you to learn more quickly and better retain what you learned by understanding the context in which each song exists.
This approach allows for easy adaptation to any musical interest and direction from the first lesson.
All levels from beginner, to intermediate, to university prep.
