About Akshiv
I know how challenging it can be to manage schoolwork while keeping up with everything else in life. Throughout my own academic journey, I had to figure out how to stay organized, keep up with demanding coursework, and still make time for myself. Over time, I developed strategies that helped me not only succeed but actually enjoy learning. Now, I’m here to help students do the same.
In my 8 years as a tutor, I’ve worked with students of all backgrounds, helping them tackle everything from high school subjects to college-level sciences and test prep. I focus on understanding each student’s unique needs, creating personalized strategies to help them not only improve their grades but build confidence in their learning abilities. My goal is to support students in a way that makes them feel empowered to take on challenges and succeed, both in school and beyond.

As a medical student at the University of Cincinnati and a UCLA graduate in Physiology, I’ve spent over 8 years helping students unlock their potential across a range of subjects. I understand how overwhelming it can be to navigate complex material and juggle academic demands. That’s why my approach focuses not just on mastering concepts, but also on developing study strategies that work for each individual student. By building strong foundations and personalized systems for learning, students can achieve their immediate goals while setting themselves up for long-term success.
I offer tutoring in high school subjects, college-level biology and chemistry (including organic chemistry), and test prep for the SAT, ACT, and MCAT.
