About Imogen
I am currently studying Biomedical sciences at University, after completing it at A-level. During my GCSEs I truly struggled with grasping the foundation knowledge in Biology, and through tutoring I developed my knowledge and confidence that allowed me to succeed and gain a grade 9. Everybody deserves the chance to be able to understand their subjects, so I am offering tutoring to encourage more people to not be set back by initial struggles.

My goal is to help students build a deep understanding of biological concepts while developing the critical thinking skills necessary to apply them in real world contexts as well as exams. I use clear examples to make complex topics relatable. I also encourage students to ask questions and think aloud to develop their scientific reasoning. Every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to their strengths. If a student struggles with key words, I incorporate more visuals and repetition. If they need help with data analysis, we spend more time on interpreting graphs and experimental design. I also integrate study techniques like active recall and visual mapping to reinforce long-term understanding. My ultimate goal is to empower students to think like scientists, not just memorise facts.
