About Isabelle
I have been studying Japanese in an academic setting for 3 years now, but spent my early years self-teaching on and off. I have a love for Japanese language and media that inspires me to continue learning the ins and outs of the language. I am always learning, and looking forward to help others learn and share in the joys of Japanese language. I have learned from textbooks such as Genki and Tobira, as well as JLPT prep textbooks.

I have used various textbooks to study Japanese and recently spent a semester abroad in Japan to deepen my language skills. Japanese can be a very difficult language, especially for native English speakers. My goal is to help you develop a solid understanding of the Japanese language, not just memorize grammar points!
For beginners we will start with the hiragana and katakana alphabets, and begin with basic grammar and phrases. As you progress we will slowly introduce kanji.
