About Heather
My tutoring goal is always to design a course of study that helps YOU as an individual. We all learn differently, and that's great! I spend time asking you questions about your learning style, and together we will create a plan that will help you you to improve your English skills. As a current Doctoral candidate in English Literature at the University of Oxford, I am extremely passionate about the subject; I have taught a range of ages, from 10-18; and have worked in UK school environments with emphases on GCSE prep. Whether you want language, spelling, creative writing, GCSE, or A-Level help, I am committed to working with you to get you to be your very best.

Each lesson is unique to what YOU need during any given week. Struggling with spelling and want a quick 30 minute refresher? No problem. Starting your Literature A-Level revision and want to discuss literary theory? Great.
Whatever you need to know, I devise strategies to help. I have given private tutoring lessons for over 5 years, in a range of subjects from spelling to creative writing to reading. I have also professionally taught English Literature and Language in UK schools for two years, with a proven record of GCSE success. Finally, as a Doctoral Candidate in Literature at Oxford, I have access to cutting-edge educational and literary information and research, which I love incorporating into my lessons.
Lessons range from 30 minutes to an hour - I work with what suits you.
