About Lara

I am a passionate languages student aiming to study languages at university, and I feel that my approachability and patience are key. I have experience supporting GCSE students at school, helping them improve their understanding and confidence in the subject. I have a focused and disciplined attitude to learning, and I encourage the same approach in my students while remaining patient and supportive. I understand the pressure and stress that comes with GCSEs, having been through the process myself, and I aim to provide consistent, individualised support to help students feel more confident and in control of their progress. My goal is to create a structured, productive environment where students feel supported, challenged, and well-prepared for their exams.

About the lesson

My GCSE Spanish lessons are structured and tailored to your individual needs, focusing on all key skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We will build vocabulary, practise essential grammar and tenses, and work through exam-style questions to improve technique and accuracy. Regular speaking practice is included to boost confidence for the speaking exam. As a Grade 9 student now studying A-Level Spanish, with experience supporting GCSE students at school, I offer clear insight into what examiners expect and effective strategies to help you achieve top grades, with lessons adapted to suit your pace and goals.

Honestly I’m not sure I would’ve passed my gcse Spanish without Lara! Not only that, she got my grade up from a 5 to an 8. Lara spent time with me building up my confidence in all aspects, teaching the best memory patterns for verb conjugations as well as giving fun and relatable examples allowing to actually remember and enjoy our lessons. She would regularly check my understanding of all aspects, making me repeat after her to further my speaking confidence. Overall I’ve gone on now to take Spanish at a higher level and I just don’t believe that would’ve been possible without my initial guidance received from Lara and in my opinion it was worth every minute!
