About Izzy
My name is Izzy, and I’m currently a student nurse and cover supply teacher. Through experience, I’ve found that the key to learning is confidence and only when a student has that confidence will they be able to perform at their best. My teaching methods focus on establishing a belief in themselves: through working on the foundations of the subject, which will then inspire a more self-led approach to problem-solving, and build the skills required to approach the more difficult exam questions. A typical session would be 1-2 hours, with a focus on repetition and practice to form habits. I’ve found that this method is effective for this level of learning due to the nature of the questions asked in the exams.
I have a background of cover supply teaching in secondary schools, and a-levels in maths, biology and chemistry.
My sessions are primarily focused on primary and secondary level, as I have a collection of resources available that aid students in reaching the top grade 7-9 GCSE levels.

Perfect! Only had 1 online lesson so far. There a few technical issues but that was in our part. Izzy was very patient and explained things in a different way when my daughter didn’t understand. I look forward to Izzy’s help going forward.
