About Ummar-Ali

I’m a first-year medical student at Oxford University with a passion for helping people reach their full potential. I come from a state school background, so I understand the importance of having the right support and encouragement to succeed. Outside of medicine, I’m a huge Formula One fan and am working towards becoming a Formula One medic in the future. The combination of high-pressure decision-making and cutting-edge medical science makes it an exciting goal that drives my passion for medicine. I’m also really into sports—I play ice hockey, football, and pretty much any sport I can get involved in. Balancing intense academics with competitive sports has taught me discipline, resilience, and strategic thinking, which I apply in all areas of life.

About the lesson

As a current Oxford University medical student with two years of tutoring experience, I bring a strong track record of success to my lessons. I achieved over 3000 in my UCAT entrance exam and earned all A* grades in my A-levels. In addition to UCAT and BMAT exam preparation, I offer personalised interview coaching to help students prepare for medical school interviews. Who better to teach you about medical interviews, than someone who has just gone through the process last year and secured a place with success? I conduct mock interviews tailored to each individual’s needs, providing constructive feedback and helping students build confidence in presenting their knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills. Whether you need help with exam strategies, mastering complex concepts, or preparing for interviews, I’m here to guide you through every step of your medical school journey.
