About Max
I am currently studying Economics and Management at the University of Oxford, where I continue to deepen my understanding of economic theory, business strategy and exam technique. Having achieved top GCSE results and 3 A*s in A Level Business, Economics and Mathematics, I understand what is required to succeed — from mastering core content to applying it effectively under exam conditions.
I decided to tutor because I know how transformative the right academic support can be. Throughout my own studies, I developed structured revision systems, essay techniques and exam strategies that consistently delivered top results. I now enjoy helping students apply those same principles to achieve their potential.
I am professional, punctual and well-prepared for every lesson. I take pride in creating a focused but supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenging material. My aim is not only to improve grades, but to build long-term confidence and independent thinking.

I take a structured, exam-focused approach tailored to each student’s starting point and goals. As an Oxford Economics & Management undergraduate who achieved 3 A*s in Business, Economics and Maths at A Level, I understand both the subject content and the exam technique required to achieve top grades.
In our first lesson, I assess strengths and weaknesses and identify specific areas to improve, making sure to focus on areas that will improve student's marks by the maximum amount — whether that’s content or exam technique related, I know from my experience what the examiner wants. From there, I create a clear plan focused on mastering content, refining exam technique, and building confidence.
I place strong emphasis on how to write high-scoring essays, structure arguments logically, use real-world examples effectively, and avoid common exam mistakes.

Students aiming for top grades or looking to improve predicted grades
