About Nicola

I am an educator, both in the dance and mathematics field with a strong desire and passion to make a difference in students' lives. I possess over 20 years of dance experience, having learnt and specialising in most styles and genres of dance. I have also achieved outstanding math results since young and have several years of experience teaching math in high schools during my placement. I am confident in establishing strong and positive relationships with my students which will help me understand their needs and learning styles and therefore allowing me to adopt different teaching methods to tailor to their needs. I am also a positive and outgoing educator who aims to bring the best out of each student.

About the lesson

Having more than 5 years of experience in teaching dance and several years of mathematics (high school) , I have adopted a personal teaching philosophy- one that is student centred. I value the uniqueness of each individual student and aim to maximise each student's potential by differentiating lesson plans and catering to the diverse needs of every student. I aim to create a safe, fun, engaging and inclusive learning environment to create a lifelong desire and love to learn amongst students, keep them motivated and adopt 21st century skills including creative and critical thinking.
